Todd Rowe, a 1992 Malone graduate (Accounting and Business Administration), was a three-year letterman in basketball and a two-year letterman in baseball at the College. Rowe graduated from LaBrae High School in 1988 and lettered in basketball, baseball and golf for three seasons each. In basketball as a senior, he was the Trumbull County Player of the Year. At Malone, Rowe is one of just two NAIA All-Americans in the history of Malone men’s basketball and the only two-time recipient of the award as he earned Second Team honors as a junior and senior.
He also earned the Pete Maravich Award, which recognizes the outstanding NCCAA player. Rowe holds numerous records at Malone and, in just two and ½ years of play, is the school’s all-time leading scorer in men’s basketball with 2350 points. He also ranked seventh all-time in rebounding (768) at the College. He was a member of Malone’s 1989-90 NAIA national tournament qualifying team and a member of the 1990-91 Pioneer team which still holds the record for most wins in a season (34) and best winning percentage (.850 at 34-6).
Since graduating from Malone, Rowe has played professional basketball in various countries around the world for numerous seasons. He has played in Portugal, Taiwan, Japan, and China and attained “superstar” status in Taiwan with, among other awards, league MVP accolades.
After graduating in Accounting and Business Administration in 1992 at the College, Rowe went on to earn his teaching certificate in Mathematics in 1994 from Malone. He currently lives in Leavittsburg and is the Vice President of National Auto Recovery, Inc.
