Julie (Rollins) Ferguson, a 1992 Malone graduate (Elementary Education), competed in cross country and track & field at Malone. A 1988 graduate of New Bremen High School, Ferguson was a three-time state qualifier in cross country and was also a district champion. In track, she was a multiple league, district and regional champion in numerous distance events and was selected All-Ohio in the 3200 meters. She also holds numerous New Bremen high school distance records. At Malone, Ferguson was a four-time NAIA National Championships qualifier and earned NAIA All-American honors in 1991 by finishing 10th overall among over 325 runners at the national meet. At the NCCAA nationals in 1991, she won the individual national title in a personal best time of 17:52 for her third straight NCCAA All-America honor. She was also a multiple NAIA national qualifier in track & field in numerous distance events. 

Ferguson is married to Patrick Ferguson, also a Malone graduate and former Pioneer women’s soccer head coach in the first two years of the program. The Fergusons reside in Lillington, North Carolina and have five children – Patrick (10), Zane (8), Kasandra (6), Ezra (4) and Calla (2).
