Lillo, a 1986 graduate of Malone, was named NAIA Honorable Mention All-America in basketball from1984-1986. He was also named to the All-MOC team from 1983-86 as well as being named to the NAIA District 22 team from 1984-86. A four-year letterman, he earned NAIA Academic All-America honors as a senior. He currently ranks 4th on Malone's all-time scoring list with 2,007 points. He also holds Malone's record for consecutive free throws made with 45 (twice) and most free throws made in a career (495). Lillo was also a four-year tennis letterman and earned numerous conference/district honors.

Lillo is currently employed as a chemistry teacher at Willard High School. Lillo and his wife, Donna, have two children and reside in Willard.
