Brandie (Beebe) Kroon, a 2005 Malone graduate (Community Health Education), was a four-year letter winner on the Pioneer volleyball team. She is also a 2001 graduate of Indian Creek High School in Wintersville, Ohio.
A four-year starter at the outside hitter position, Kroon was voted to the All-AMC (American Mideast Conference) First Team as a freshman in addition to collecting All-AMC Freshmen Team, NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) All-East Region and NCCAA Second Team All-America accolades that year as well. She went on to earn All-AMC First Team, NCCAA All-East Region and NCCAA First Team All-America honors in each of her final three seasons in a Malone uniform.
Kroon's name is found throughout the Pioneers' record book as she ranks first all-time at Malone in career kills (2438), digs (2420), attack attempts (6057), and service aces (294). She is also second all-time in digs per set (4.05) and third in matches played (167). During her senior campaign in 2004, Kroon established the current Pioneer single-season records for kills (712) and attack attempts (1784). She also holds the program's single-season mark for service aces (106 in 2001).
As a freshman in 2001, Kroon helped the Pioneers capture an AMC Regular Season Championship and tie the school record for wins with a final overall mark of 41-8. During her career, Malone twice reached the NCCAA National Championships (2001 & 2004) and registered a combined record of 116-52 (.690 winning percentage).
Kroon is currently employed as a Human Resources Administrator for the International Procurement Agency. She and her husband, Barry, and their twin sons, Noah (2) and Neils (2), reside in Washington D.C.
