Marshall, a 1980 Malone graduate (B.S. in Elementary Education), was a four-year letterman in both cross country and track & field at the college. A 1975 graduate of Field High School, he was a PCL Champion in both cross country and track & field and was named All-Ohio in cross country in 1973 and 1974. At Malone, he was the school's top cross country runner in '76, '77 and '78 and was a conference and district champion in 1978. He is also a four-time All-MOC recipient. In track and field, he had held the school record in the 1500 meters, the 5000 meters and the 10,000 meters and was both a conference and district champion. In addition, he was a three-time NAIA Nationals qualifier (semis in 5000 in '75; 9th in 5,000 in '76; 9th in 10,000 in '77).

Where are they now?

Jerry and his wife, Cindy, reside in Louisville and they have one daughter, Ashley (25). Jerry recently retired from teaching but continues to coach at Perry High School.
