Andy Lyons, a 1994 Malone graduate (Business Administration), was a four-year letterman in golf while at Malone. A 1990 graduate of Northwest High School, Lyons quickly became a mainstay on the Pioneer team and competed in four straight NAIA national golf tournaments. A four-time team MVP and four-time NAIA District 22 selection for the Pioneers, Lyons led Malone to four straight NAIA District 22 titles, winning the individual district title as a senior with a two-day total of 147 (77-70). In 1992 as a junior, Lyons finished 15th at the NAIA National Championships with rounds of 77, 75, 69 and 71 to earn NAIA All-America accolades and pace Malone to a then-school-best eighth-place national finish. Then, as a senior in 1993, Lyons placed 22nd at the national tournament (77-73-78-74) and helped Malone to a seventh-place national finish.

Lyons currently resides in Canal Fulton, Ohio with his wife, Susan, and their one son. He is the head golf professional at the Lyons Den Golf Course in Canal Fulton.
