Malone University Athletics

Thomson, a 1979 graduate of Malone, was both an NAIA All-American and NAIA Academic All-American in baseball in 1979 and was named All-Mid-Ohio Conference in 1976,1977 and 1979. He was also named the outstanding player in the conference his senior year and was named to the All-District 22 team that same season.

Thomson, a graduate of Oakwood High School, received his bachelor’s degree in social science from Malone and his master's degree in sports administration from Kent State in 1984.

Thomson currently is a division sales manager for Alside Supply in Akron. He and his wife, Kimberly Ann, reside in Canton.
