A 1991 graduate of Westerville North High School, Roehrenbeck went on to help Malone to an incredible 63-27-11 record during his four years as a Pioneer. As a senior, he was named NAIA All-America Honorable Mention and also to the NAIA All-Region Team. He was also selected to the NSCAA All-Mideast First Team and as an NSCAA All-Ohio First Team honoree.

In addition, Roehrenbeck also received NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades and was named to the Academic All-Ohio First Team. Despite playing in the backfield, Roehrenbeck still managed to score six goals and post three assists during his outstanding senior season. He was named to the Mid-Ohio Conference First Team, to the NCCAA All-America Team and the NCCAA All-Tournament Team. Also, Malone qualified for the NCCAA National Tournament in each of his four years at Malone and he was named the NCCAA Player of the Year as a senior after the Pioneers earned a national runner-up finish in 1994.
