Malone University Athletics

Lower led the Pioneers to a first-place finish among 15 teams at the NCAA Division I Cleveland State University Invitational last Monday.  Lower defended his individual title from last year’s CSU event by a posting a one-stroke victory this year with a score of 141 (71-70).  The win marked Lower’s fourth straight tournament victory (including two tournaments this fall and the last two events from the spring of 2010) which set a new Malone men’s golf record for consecutive tournaments won.

Following this strong performance on Monday, Lower then shot an 83 last Thursday to finish in a tie for 19th place at the Red Poling Collegiate Classic in Dearborn, Michigan.
