Elliott, a 6'0 guard, led the Pioneer men's basketball team to a convincing 83-64 victory over Notre Dame College on Saturday in the squad's only game of the week.
Elliott led all scorers in the contest with 19 points. The sophomore from Canton McKinley High School had a perfect shooting night, hitting both of his free throws and all seven of his shots from the field, including three treys. He also grabbed five steals and set the tone early for Malone, hitting a three-pointer on the opening possession of the game and then adding a steal and fast-break lay-up on Notre Dame’s first trip down the floor.
In all, Elliott netted 14 first-half points to help the Pioneers build a commanding 46-25 lead at intermission.
Following Saturday's contest, he currently ranks second on the team in scoring (13.5 points per game) while leading the squad in assists (95) and steals (44).
