At the Miami University Invitational last Saturday, Karli Oprian, a freshman from Uniontown, Ohio (Lake H.S.), earned a third-place finish among 31 runners in the 200 meters in a time of 25.82 seconds.

She also finished a solid eighth among 21 sprinters in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.36 seconds. Oprian helped Malone to an eighth-place team finish among a 14-team field at the meet.
