LANCASTER, Ohio & ALLIANCE, Ohio - Play wrapped up at both the Bill Blazer Memorial Match Play and Mount Union Spring Imitational on Sunday with the Malone University men's golf team in action at both. The Pioneers defeated Lewis University 3-2 to claim third in the match play event and the B-team was fourth overall at Tannenhauf Golf Club.

Jaxon Rinkes and
Camden Horning won their matchups prior to the finish of 18 holes to help get Malone started on a positive note. The match-clinching win came from
Fletcher Cravens. He entered the 18th hole with a one-stroke lead and went even with his opponent to secure the win.

At Mount Union, Heidelberg University were the team champions with a score of 600 (304-286). Malone had a two-day total of 614 (309-305).
Brady Johnson tied for eighth after he finished at 152 (74-78) with three birdies on Sunday.
Easton Hamrick had the lowest score of the day for the Pioneers and wrapped up play at 154 (79-75).

The postseason is next on the schedule for Malone at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship at the Belterra Resort in Florence, Indiana. Action begins on Monday, April 20.
