Biography

Prior to Malone
Hamrick is from Virginia Beach, Virginia and attended Frank W. Cox High School. For his high school team, Hamrick was individual medalist in seven different tournaments this past fall season. His personal-low 18-hole score is 63 and his scoring average was 72.4 in his senior season. Hamrick placed second and third in the 5A Regional Championship event in 2023 and 2024 and led his team to 5A Regional titles in both seasons. His high school team finished third in 2022 and fifth in 2023 and 2024 in the Virginia State High School Championship.
 
Off the course, Hamrick comes from a military family. His father LTC Bradley C. Hamrick has been in the army for 22 years, is a Purple Heart recipient and has made nine combat tours. His step-mother Ann-Marie Hamrick won a silver medal in the U.S. Junior Olympics in equestrian. He is involved in the National Honor Society and has a 3.8 grade point average.
