CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University men's golf team and Head Coach
Ken Hyland have announced a pair of signees for the 2026-27 season.
Gage Bonifant and
Thomas Mankowski will be joining the Pioneers this fall.

Bonifant will be graduating from Strasburg-Franklin High School and is looking to major in Sport Management at Malone. He was a four-time All-Conference honoree in the Inter-Valley Conference (IVC), including two First Team nods. He was also a four-time All-District player and two times on the First Team. Bonifant was the 2025 District runner-up and a state qualifier and he led the Tigers to an IVC North Division team title in 2024.

Along with his efforts on the golf course, he was also an All-Conference basketball player at Strasburg-Franklin. Bonifant was on the honor roll and merit roll throughout high school.

Mankowski is a Bulldog of Canton McKinley High School and was named the Stark County Player of the Year. He was a three-year varsity letter winner in golf and has individual wins on the Hurricane Junior Tour and First Tee Junior Tour.

His accolades on the gold course are supplemented by an impressive football career for the Bulldogs as well. He was a four-year letter winner and All-Federal League player on the field. He helped guide Canton McKinley to two Federal League titles. In the classroom, Mankowski appeared on the honor roll all four years and plans to major in Psychology at Malone.
