Day One Results
The Malone University women's golf team began the spring portion of its 2018-19 season on Monday at the Pfeiffer College Invitational in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Following the opening round of the two-day event at The Club at Hilton Head Lakes, the Pioneers are in second place among the 10-team field with a score of 334. Rhodes College holds the day-one lead at 313 and Piedmont College is in third place at 339.
Christina Williams paced the Pioneers and is tied for third overall with a round of 78.
Madison Justice is tied for 12th with a score of 83 - her best round of the 2018-19 season thus far.
Lauren Griggy is right behind, tied for 14th with an 84.
Grace Bartlow carded a round of 89 and
Rachel Russell posted a 92. Competing as an individual,
Samantha Tinsley tallied a 91.
The Pfeiffer Invitational will continue with the final round on Tuesday.
