The Malone University women's golf team claimed a first-place finish on Sunday afternoon at Ohio Valley University's Shriners Hospital Shootout.
At the Golf Club of West Virginia, the Pioneers registered a round of 332, topping runner-up Ohio Valley by a substantial 32 strokes (364). Concord University was third at 365 and Urbana University rounded out the field with a 444.
Lauren Griggy and
Christina Williams both earned All-Tournament Team honors for the Pioneers. Griggy finished runner-up among 24 competitors with a round of 81. Williams was right behind, tying for third with an 82.
Shriners Shootout All-Tournament Team
Madison Justice was next for the Pioneers, tying for fifth overall with an 83.
Samantha Tinsley took eighth with an 86 and
Grace Bartlow finished the day with a 102.

Malone will travel to Perry Park, Kentucky on March 30-31 to participate in Lewis University's Spring Fling while the Pioneer "Red Team" will make its spring debut March 30-31 at the University of Mount Union Invitational.
