ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has unveiled the teams who are inside the top 25 of the Team Honor Rolls. The Malone University women's basketball team was ranked #25 in all of NCAA Division II in academics for the 2025-26 season.
 
The Pioneers were under the direction of Head Coach Selana Ickes last season and finished with a record of 25-7 with their third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. Malone had a team grade point average of 3.716 in the 2025-26 academic year. Moving forward, the team will be led by Jake Shoup beginning in 2026-27.
 
It is the second straight that the Pioneers have been ranked inside the top 25 academically by the WBCA. Malone was fourth in the nation in 2024-25.
