CANTON, Ohio - Newly appointed Head Coach of the Malone University women's basketball team Jake Shoup has announced his staff that will surround him on the sidelines for the 2026-27 season.
 
Matt Voll enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Malone University women's basketball program in 2026-27, after more than three decades of coaching and teaching experience in Ohio. One of the state's most accomplished high school coaches, Voll compiled a 415-256 career varsity record while leading both boys and girls programs to nine district championships, three regional final appearances, one regional championship, and a 2025 OHSAA Division II State Runner-Up finish at Perry High School.
 
Throughout his career, Voll has been recognized with numerous Coach of the Year honors and was inducted into the OHSBCA District 5 Hall of Fame in 2022. He also earned the AP Division I Girls State Coach of the Year award in 2015. In addition to his coaching career, Voll has taught in various capacities since 1994 in the K-12 setting. 
 
A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Voll earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Physical Education before completing a Master of Science in Sports Management and Athletic Administration from American Public University. He brings a wealth of experience in player development, program building, and championship culture to the Malone women's basketball staff. 
 
Voll resides in New Philadelphia, with his wife Aimee, and has three adult children.
 
Shavon Robinson enters her sixth season as a member of the Malone Women's Basketball coaching staff in 2026-27. Over the past five years, Robinson has helped guide Malone to a 107-44 record, including four 20+ win seasons.
 
Prior to coming back home to Canton, Robinson worked for two years as an assistant at Shawnee State University. In Robinson's first year helping the Bears, they had an overall record of 16-1. The Bears won the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship for the 2019-2020 season while Robinson assisted with the teams' player development, recruiting coordinator, and defensive strategies. In year two of her coaching career for the Bears, Robinson helped Shawnee State reach a 19-9 record and a second-round appearance in the 2020-2021 NAIA National Tournament.
 
Robinson, a transfer from NCAA Division I Ohio University, helped lead the Bears to their first-ever Mid-South Conference Championship by averaging 12.5 points and 5.3 rebounds on 47.4 percent shooting from the field for Shawnee State. Prior to her time at Shawnee State, Robinson starred at Ohio University, making the Mid-American Conference All-Freshman team. She finished second on the team in scoring as a freshman, sophomore, and a junior, averaging 8.6 points per game as a freshman and 10.4 points per game as a sophomore and junior.
 
In high school, Robinson won All-Stark County Player of the Year honors at Canton South High School. Robinson finished her career as a two-time OHSAA Division II All-Ohio First-Team recipient, 2010 McDonald's All-American Nominee, and a two-time Division II District Champion with the Wildcats, which led to her induction into the Canton South Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.
 
Taryn Cash returns to Malone for the 2026-27 season after serving as a Graduate Assistant last year. Cash brings great rapport with the team and a knowledge of the program. Taryn is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where she graduated from Princeton High School and played at Wittenberg for four years. She holds a bachelor's in sports management and was a two-time member of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season championship at Wittenberg University. She helped lead her team to an NCAC Tournament Championship as well. Taryn is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
 
Anna Krupa begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Malone University women's basketball program after concluding a four-year playing career with the Pioneers. A native of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Krupa appeared in 123 games during her collegiate career. She earned a reputation as a dependable and selfless contributor on both ends of the floor.
 
Throughout her playing career, Krupa was named NCCAA Scholar-Athlete, G-MAC Academic All-Conference, and was a consistent member of the Dean's List throughout her time at Malone. Prior to Malone, Krupa starred at Tri-Valley High School, where she earned Honorable Mention All-Ohio honors and helped lead the Scotties to multiple conference, district, and regional championships, including an appearance in the OHSAA Division II Championship Semifinals. She graduated from Malone with a degree in Business and now begins her coaching career with the Pioneers, bringing a strong work ethic, and a passion for developing student-athletes.
