CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University women's basketball team have made several roster additions for 2026-27 under the direction of first-year head coach
Jake Shoup.

Ava Anderson travels east to Malone from Mount Zion, Illinois. She was tabbed as a Second Team All-Conference selection in 2025-26 in Illinois' Apollo Conference. Anderson led her team to an 18-14 record and a third-place finish in the conference standings last season.

Nevaeh Cartwright is a local product from GlenOak High School and Canton, Ohio. She will be a dual sport athlete at Malone while also competing for the Pioneers in track & field. Cartwright received the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Archie Griffin Award prior to graduation.

Jaslyn Gore is from Columbus, Ohio and is a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. She was selected as an All-Central District Honorable Mention recipient in Division II as well as Second Team All-Conference in the Columbus City League her senior year.

Gabriella Karle comes to Malone from Asbury, Kentucky and was All-Area Honorable Mention at Paul G. Blazer High School. She led her team to the State Quarterfinals and won a Regional title. Karle was a member of the Honor Roll three times and was First Team Academic All-State.

Tatum Lusher is an alum of Grandview Heights High School in Columbus, Ohio. She was a three-time First Team All-League honoree, two-time First Team All-District recipient and received one All-Ohio nod in her high school career.

Caley Strahan is a transfer from Purdue University Northwest. Strahan averaged 4.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game one season ago for the Pride and appeared in 26 games with 24 starts. She attended high school at Bishop McNamara Catholic and hails from Kankakee, Illinois.

Finley Weaver is a commit for the Pioneers from Manchester, Virginia and Manchester High School. Weaver was named Richmond Times Dispatch All-Metro in her senior season and was First Team All-Conference. She helped lead her team to the Virginia High School League (VHSL) State Championship game in 2026.

Raela Zapsic attended Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) prior to her enrollment at Malone. The Cleveland, Ohio native helped lead her team to a fourth-place finish in the Crown Conference this past season and was also a quarterback on the CVCA girls' flag football team.
