CANTON, Ohio - First-year head coach Jake Shoup has announced the upcoming season schedule for the Malone University women's basketball team. Shoup takes the reigns of a program that was 25-7 one season ago and reached the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament for the third time in program history, as well as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament Championship game.
 
The 2026-27 campaign begins with a road game at Davis & Elkins College on November 11. The Pioneers will take part in the Clarion Tip-Off Tournament on November 14 and 15 where they will face the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and the host Golden Eagles of Clarion University. The first game inside the newly renovated Osborne Hall will be on November 21 against Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Malone remains at home to face Seton Hill University just before Thanksgiving Break on November 24.
 
Four of the next five contests for the Pioneers come on the road. The trip begins with California University of Pennsylvania on December 1, followed by back-to-back G-MAC opponents at Lake Erie College (December 5) and Ursuline College (December 12). The lone home matchup in that span comes against a non-conference opponent in Salem University on December 16. A trip to Chicago, Illinois to face Roosevelt University on December 18 marks the final non-conference affair of the regular season.
 
Malone returns to conference action on December 31 with a home game against the University of Findlay. A quick in-state trip to Tiffin University on January 2 breaks up what would otherwise be a four-game homestand with Hillsdale College (January 7), Northwood University (January 9) and Ashland University (January 14) all visiting Canton.
 
Malone doesn't have to go far for their next game on January 16 against rival Walsh University, but the following weekend is at Kentucky Wesleyan College (January 21) and at Thomas More University (January 23). Osborne Hall is jam packed with action from there with home games against Lake Erie (January 28), Ursuline (January 30), Cedarville University (February 4) and Kentucky Wesleyan (February 6), the last of which marks the team's senior day.
 
The final six G-MAC regular season games see Malone traveling to the state of Michigan to take on Northwood (February 11) and Hillsdale (February 13) in return trips, followed by the final two home contests against Ohio Dominican University on February 18 and the 31st Annual Mayors' Cup Game on February 20 versus Walsh. Ashland (February 25) and Cedarville (February 27) are the final two road opponents for the Pioneers.
