ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Malone University men's golf team maintained their lead from day one of the Malone Fall Classic and cruised to a nine-stroke victory on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers put together a 36-hole score of 603 after they combined for a 299 in round two.

Jaxon Rinkes was the individual medalist of the event after he shot an even-par 72 on Saturday and finished at 145 (73-72). The junior had six total birdies on his scorecard, four of which came on the back nine.

Carter Miller picked up two spots on the leaderboard to finish fourth overall at 151 (77-74). In the second round, the sophomore went 2-under on par-4 holes with three birdies. Freshman Alfie Cracker was also inside the top-five at 152 (76-76). He birdied the first hole of the day en route to an even-par front nine.

Ryan Yoder improved his score by one on Saturday to finish in a tie for eighth at 155 (78-77). The sophomore had three birdies in the first five holes, but could not carry that momentum for the duration of his round. Camden Horning wrapped up A-team scorers at 159 (79-80).

Other student-athletes competing for the Pioneers in the tournament also had quality results. The Malone B-team matched the A-team score at 299. Freshman Easton Hamrick tied for second on the leaderboard at 148 (75-73). Hamrick was business-like in his approach and hit 15 pars out of 18 holes. Fletcher Cravens (79-75) and Brady Johnson (81-75) were also inside the top-ten at 154 and 156, respectively.
