Chandler Stahl is a sixth-year senior relief pitcher on the Malone University baseball team from Akron, Ohio and Manchester High School. He is the son of John and Deanna Stahl.
In parts of five seasons, Chandler pitched in 32 games, totaling 32.2 innings. He posted 43 strikeouts in his career but most often made his outgoing presence felt as an encourager in the dugout.
Chandler's favorite memory as a Pioneer was earning his first and only career win in relief during a 12-inning victory over West Liberty on the opening weekend of the 2019 season. That game marked the first outing coming back from his second Tommy John surgery.
Chandler earned his undergraduate degree from Malone in Communication Arts and is currently finishing up his Master's of Business Administration. His future plans are undecided.
During his career, Chandler earned G-MAC All-Academic honors in 2019, 2018, 2017, and GLIAC All-Academic in 2016.
From coach Crank: "Chandler was a leader when he stepped on Malone's campus. He is the friendliest and most positive person I have ever met. Chandler makes everyone feel comfortable like they have known each other for years and have been friends for a lifetime. Chandler has battled through some injuries during his career and still became a dominant force on the mound. It has been an honor to have Chandler a part of our program during his time at Malone."
Congratulations Chandler!
