Veldhuizen led the Pioneers to victories over the top two teams in the GLIAC South Division last week by averaging 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, two assists, 1.5 steals and one block per contest.

The 6-4 forward from North Canton (Hoover H.S.) poured in 24 points while grabbing seven rebounds and three steals in a 61-59 road win at Hillsdale on Thursday. Veldhuizen then registered 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in Saturday’s 77-69 home triumph over Findlay.

On the week, Veldhuizen connected on 52% (14 of 27) of his field-goal attempts and eight of 10 free throws.
