CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University men's golf team hosted their second tournament of the 2025-26 season, this one at Glenmoor Country Club. After 36 of the 54 holes, the Pioneers are ninth on the leaderboard at 619 (306-313). Hillsdale College are the leaders after day one after they put up a team score of 582 (296-286).
A strong round one for sophomore
Ryan Yoder put him in front for Malone at 154 (73-81). Yoder had three birdies in his first 11 holes played in a 1-over round one and added one additional birdie in the second round.
The trio of junior
Jaxon Rinkes (78-77), sophomore
Carter Miller (77-78) and freshman
Alfie Cracker (78-77) are tied at 155. It was an up-and-down day for all with five birdies for Rinkes, six for Miller and seven for Cracker.
Wrapping up the A-team for the Pioneers was freshman
Easton Hamrick at 166 (84-82). He had four birdies on the day, all on par-4 holes. Senior
Camden Horning led Malone's B-team with dueling 79's for a total of 158. Three of his four birdies came on par-5's.
