Women's Golf Competes in Split Squad Action

GROVE CITY, Ohio & WOOSTER, Ohio – The Malone University women's golf team was in action in two locations on Monday.
 
The Pioneers battled against some of the region's top teams at the NC4K Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican University. The teams completed round one and began round two before running out of daylight. Currently, Malone is 14th out of 16 participating institutions.
 
Erin Strouse is leading the Pioneers in 48th overall. She had five pars out of eight holes in round two and completed the first round with an 87. Strouse had back-to-back birdies on holes two and three at Pinnacle Golf Club. Addison Burris had the best round one score for Malone with an 84. The freshman tallied a birdie on the par-3 15th hole.
 
Jayden Mitchell (88) and Maria Warner (90) had the other two scoring totals in round one. Each of them had one birdie in round one. Claire Hostetler (92) and Kaylyn Henson (96) completed the team at Ohio Dominican.
 
The Pioneer Red Team completed their round at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational in sixth place. Abbigail Jones (89) had the lowest score for the team and tied for 11th.
 
The NC4K Classic continues on Tuesday, April 8 at 12:00 P.M.
