GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the first time this season, and in the last NCCAA poll of 2024-25, the Malone University men's basketball program is ranked ninth overall. Grace College is atop the final Coaches Poll with a 29-6 mark. Nelson - American Indian College won the NCCAA title and were ranked fourth.
The Pioneers ended their year with a 16-16 overall record. The team was able to win three straight games in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history.
Malone was led by
Simon Blair as a First Team All-Conference honoree. He also garnered National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Second Team All-Midwest District and was the G-MAC Tournament MVP.
Tre Baumgardner III and
Ryan Bartley were also G-MAC All-Tournament Team recipients. Bartley nabbed College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District while Bartley,
Caleb Conard and
Jake Bruns were NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.
The NCCAA All-American list will be released on March 27.
