Six from Malone Basketball Named Academic All-District

03/24/26

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Six student-athletes from the Malone University men's and women's basketball teams were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). From the Pioneer men, juniors Nic Williams and Josiah Pierre were honored as Academic All-District. Erin Kaufman, Elena Oliver, Brinn Hunt and Anna Krupa were selected as Academic All-District from the Malone women's basketball team.

In order to be eligible, a student must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher and at least a sophomore academically. On top of academic achievements, the CSC also has athletic nomination criteria for participation and high-level success in a given sport.

Williams (13.7) and Pierre (11.0) were double-digit scorers for the Pioneers and started all 28 games for the squad. They were also the two leading assist men for the team at 2.5 and 2.3 per game. Williams was the team's leading three-point shooter at 36.2% (64-for-177).

Kaufman, Oliver, Hunt and Krupa were all pivotal members of the 25-7 Malone women's basketball team. Kaufman led the team with 16.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Kaufman (First Team) and Oliver (Second Team) received postseason honors from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). Hunt was a volume three-point shooter for the squad at 34.5% and Krupa was crucial defensively.
