INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Junior middle blocker
Jaymes Gilbert has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) East Division Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Gilbert showed tremendous effort on offense and defense against two of the league's toughest teams in Cedarville University and Ohio Dominican University. The Wooster, Ohio native had a team-high 12 kills with a .478 hitting percentage against the top-seeded Yellow Jackets and was one dig off her career-high with 16 versus the Panthers in the regular season finale.
In total for the weekend, Gilbert averaged 9.0 kills, 11.5 digs, 1.5 aces and 1.5 blocks. As the 2025 season comes to a close, Gilbert was the team leader with 222 kills, a .306 hitting percentage and 73.0 blocks. She was also second in digs with 190 on the year.
