PALM COAST, Fla. - The NCCAA Men's Golf Championship kicked off on Monday, October 20 at the Hammock Beach Resort - Conservatory Course. The Malone University men's golf team is sixth on the team leaderboard with a score of 311 in round one of three in the tournament. Two-time defending champions Wayland Baptist University took the early lead at 297.
 
Alfie Cracker's round of 3-over 75 is tied for sixth overall through 18 holes. He hit for birdie on holes 7 and 15 on Monday. Ryan Yoder is tied for 15th after he had birdies on holes 5 and 13 en route to a 77.
 
Jaxon Rinkes got off to a great start on the back-nine at 1-under, but finished the first round at 79. Rinkes birdied holes 10 and 15. Carter Miller was one stroke back of him with an 80 and Easton Hamrick shot an 81. Hamrick had two birdies as well on holes 8 and 10.
