BEVERLY, Ohio -- The Malone University women's golf red team played their first event of the spring season over the weekend.
MU traveled south for the Pioneer Classic hosted by Marietta College at Lakeside Golf Club.
The Pioneers finished in seventh place overall with a 36-hole team score of 747.
The event was won by Glenville State College, who's team total finished at 644.

The blue team jumps back into action on March 21 and 22 at the Findlay Spring Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky.
The next red team event will be the Mount Union Spring Invite at Tannenhauf Golf Club on March 26 and 27.
