PALM COAST, Fla. - On day two of the NCCAA Championships, Caylee Lattimer of the Malone University women's golf team fired an 84. She is tied for 25th at 172 (88-84) with one round remaining at the Hammock Beach Resort - Conservatory Course.

The freshman got the day started on a positive note with a birdie on the par-3 12th hole. Four of the final six holes on the back nine were pars. After a double bogey on the first hole, the final eight holes in her round were par or bogey to get to a four-stroke improvement on her first round.

"I showed some improvement today," Lattimer said after her round. "The conditions were better and I wish I had made a few more putts. I'm excited about round three, making adjustments and having my best round of the tournament. This experience is amazing and I love being a part of the NCCAA and everything it represents. There are chaplains on the course and they pray over us before we begin. The competitor in me wants to go low of course, but I am proud to represent our team and the university as a member of the NCCAA!"

Round three begins on Wednesday, October 21 at 8:00 A.M.
