Win Over Cedarville and Senior Day
On Thursday evening Malone faced Cedarville and the Pioneers finished the first quarter with the lead and didn't let it go for the rest of the evening on their way to securing the 74-64 victory. This was their second win this week in the quick turnaround of the final stretch of the regular season.

Holly Groff and Alexis Hutchison each scored 16 points as they combined for 13-25 from the field and each sank two shots at the charity stripe. Hutchison also had a game-high 8 assists. Robin Campbell and Emma Kallas rounded out the double-digit scorers with each adding 13 points. Madison Hunter and Emma Kallas each pulled down six rebounds.

On Saturday the Pioneers will celebrate Senior Day. Six members of the program will be honored – Robin Campbell, Olivia Clark, Holly Groff, Madison Hunter, Mikayla Poole, and Nikki Weber.

Hardwood Series
Saturday will be the 71st meeting all-time between Ohio Dominican and Malone. The Panthers have a slight 36-34 series lead.

In the January matchup earlier this season, the Pioneers jumped out to a one-point lead at halftime and then battled with Ohio Dominican in the second half and were able to pull away with the 72-66 victory.

Groff led all scorers with 16 points and was supported with the other four starters each toping the double-digit score mark.

Knowing Your Opponent
Ohio Dominican University comes into Canton with a six game losing streak, the most recent of which was Thursday's match up vs No. 15 Walsh University. The Panthers gave Walsh a run, as they held a seven point lead at the halftime break. Walsh had a hard fought third quarter that gave them a one point lead heading into the final frame. The Cavaliers then closed the door on the Panthers, by outscoring them 19-6 in the fourth quarter to secure the 68-54 victory.

Gabby Stare led the Panthers with 25 points. Kennedy Schlabach added 15 points and six assists. Bailey Williams grabbed 8 rebounds for ODU.

Looking Ahead
The Pioneers will await the release of the final standings and placements for the 2022 Great Midwest Women's Basketball Championship. The bracket will be released later this weekend. The tournament will get under way with the quarterfinal round on Tuesday as the No. 3 through No. 6 seeds will play for a chance in the semi-finals.
