FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PIONEERS
- Malone suffered another close loss late last week falling on the road at the University of Findlay 80-72. The Pioneers held a two point advantage at halftime, but a strong third quarter from the Oilers allowed them to recapture the lead. Findlay was able to hold on through the fourth quarter to pick up the win.
-
Sophomore guard Alexis Hutchison led the Pioneers with a season-high 17 points. She also pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists.
- Malone attempted 53 three-point shots in the contest, shattering the previous program record of 44 set in last year's matchup against Findlay.
-
Holly Groff has picked up right where she left off last season. The senior guard ranks sixth overall in the G-MAC scoring 17.4 points-per-game. Her 2.8 three-point field goals per game are third-best in the league. She also boasts the fifth-best assist/turnover ratio (2.1).
-
Groff is not the only weapon Malone has on the offensive end of the floor though. Robin Campbell, Alexis Hutchison and Madison Hunter are all averaging double-digit point totals this season.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
The Panthers enter tonight's matchup off of their second loss of the season, a 87-66 defeat on Saturday at the hands of Ursuline College. ODU was outscored 27-9 in a crucial second quarter that changed the direction of the entire game.

Their offensive firepower does not stop there however. Junior guard Kennedy Schlabach ranks fourth overall in the G-MAC with 18.0 points per game and freshman guard Gabby Stare is eighth best in the league scoring 16.3 points-per-game.
On the defensive end of the floor ODU is surrendering 78.0 points-per-game and Troyer is second in the conference averaging 2.4 steals-per-game.
