The Malone University women's basketball team is scheduled to take on Ohio Valley University and Alderson Broaddus University in a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) rematches this weekend. Malone hosts Ohio Valley on Thursday, February 6th and will then travel to AB on Saturday, February 8th. Note that Saturday's game was originally scheduled to be played at home, but will now be played at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Malone picked up wins over both teams just three weeks ago, earning an 85-74 overtime victory at Ohio Valley at January 16th prior to dispatching Alderson Broaddus 75-57 two days later.

Malone Notes
- The Pioneers are coming off of a 1-1 week that included an 85-79 loss at Findlay, in which they led by 16 in the first quarter, and an 82-76 road win at Hillsdale last Saturday.
- Redshirt junior guard Holly Groff netted a school record 11 three-pointers and scored a career-high 37 points last Thursday at Findlay and then scored 17 at Hillsdale.
- On the season, Groff is now averaging 18.6 points per game – second most in the G-MAC. Over the past seven games, in which the Pioneers are 6-1, Groff is scoring 24.4 ppg.
- Groff also leads the G-MAC and ranks ninth in NCAA DII with 69 three-pointers. She is shooting a league-best 45.1% from beyond the arc.
- Backcourt mate Robin Campbell is 10th in the G-MAC in scoring (14.8 ppg) and seventh in assists (3.4 apg).
- The sophomore guard is one of only three players in the Midwest Region averaging at least 14 points, four rebounds, and three steals while shooting 45% or better from the field.
- Senior forwards Ellen Doyle (9.6 points, 5.1 rebounds) and Sydney Wentling (9.3 points, 5.1 rebounds) have been models of consistency starting all 20 games together in the frontcourt.
- Doyle scored a team-high 20 points in the win at Hillsdale. Wentling is 13 points away from 700 in her career and will likely reach the milestone this weekend.
- Freshman Alexis Hutchison (7.2 ppg) returned to the starting lineup last weekend, she continues to lead the Malone defense with 36 steals.
- Four Pioneers (Mikayla Poole, Madison Hunter, Emma Kallas, and Jade Abdulla) provide valuable minutes off of the bench, each playing over 12 minutes per game.
- Poole is coming off a 12-point game at Hillsdale where she made four threes while Kallas has scored 25 points on 11-of-19 shooting in the last four games.
- Malone is 6-3 at home this season and 8-2 on the road. The Pioneers are third in the conference standings and fifth in the points rating system which will be used to determine playoff seeding in March.

- The Fighting Scots are just 1-7 on the road this season, but are coming off of an 85-66 win at Oakland City on Monday.
- Imani Ward, OVU's leading scorer this season at 17.4 ppg, totaled 23 in Monday's victory. Akiya Brown (12.2 ppg) tallied 26 points vs. Malone last month.

- Since a 6-6 start to the season, the Battlers have lost nine straight, including losses to Tiffin (79-72) and Cedarville (74-57) last week. AB visits Walsh on Thursday before hosting Malone Saturday.
- Hannah Henderson leads the team in scoring (13.2 ppg) and rebounds (5.8 rpg). Ta'Sharra Jeffries recorded a team-high 15 points and five steals against Malone last month.
