Record: 11-7 (5-3 G-MAC)

The Pioneers sit mid-pack in the G-MAC standings but have won two games in a row and were victorious in nine of their last 12 contests. Malone is averaging 80.1 points per game over that span, while only giving up 70.0 points.

Jaret Majestic shot lights out against Alderson Broaddus last week. The junior tied the school and conference record for most 3-point field goals in a game (10). Majestic tied a career-high in the game as well with 31 total points. Majestic had a 20-point outing two games ago versus Ohio Valley where he hit 12 consecutive free throws. The G-MAC selected him as the Athlete of the Week for men's basketball following his scoring spurt.

Majestic has made exactly 100 field goals, 64 of them from long range. The junior is ranked second in NCAA Division II in free throw percentage at 93.8% (45-of-48). Majestic leads the Pioneers in scoring, averaging 17.2 points per game and is tied with guard Eli Ramsey with the least amount of turnovers out of Pioneer starters (24).

Marcus Ernst has been a menace to opponents defensively and is spectacular at getting out on the break after missed shots or turnovers. Ernst is tied for 15th in NCAA Division II in rebounds, bringing down 170 on the season. He uses his length to his advantage, accumulating 21 steals and 21 blocked shots, both team highs.

Senior leadership has been critical to success this season as well. Sehill Mouliom has collected 42 offensive rebounds, he and Ernst (44) rank first and second in the G-MAC on crashing the offensive glass. Point guard Daylan Haynie only scored five points against Alderson Broaddus, but distributed eight assists that led to an additional 21 Pioneer points scored.

Off the bench, Bo Myers scorched the Battlers from long range and netted 22 points. It was the sixth time this season the freshman has exploded for 20 or more points in a game. Kenneth McCullough-Lomax Jr. buried a three (fourth on the team in made three-point shots) and blocked a shot in last Saturday's win. Tracey Sumner was aggressive with a made jump shot, free throw and brought in three defensive rebounds.

Hillsdale Team Notes: Schedule | Roster | Statistics
Record: 11-7 (7-2 G-MAC)

In a battle of the G-MAC's top scoring defenses, Walsh outlasted Hillsdale 67-62 in the Chargers most recent game. Hillsdale has had their struggles on the road this season, and in nine games are 4-5 overall.

Hillsdale holds teams to the third-lowest field goal percentage in the conference at 42.0% and holds teams to 31.9% from beyond the arc. The Chargers have limited shot attempts with immense perimeter pressure and have kept opponents to a league-low 357 three-point tries. They make the most of their offensive possessions and have the 14th fewest turnovers in NCAA Division II (180).

Scoring the basketball, the Chargers are very balanced. Patrick Cartier, Davis Larson and Dylan Lowry each average between 13 and 15 points per game. Against Walsh, Connor Hill was the leading scorer with 15 points. Austen Yarian rounds out the starting five for Hillsdale.

Cartier seems to be "Mr. Consistency" for the Chargers. The redshirt freshman scores a team-high 14.5 points per game, shoots 64.8% from the field (leads the G-MAC), collects 5.4 rebounds per game and leads the team with 17 blocked shots.

Larson and Lowry each shoot the ball well from distance, both of them above 40% three-point shooters. Larson holds the team lead in steals with 25 on the season.

Hill averages 3.4 assists per contest and is second in the G-MAC with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.22. Yarian brings down the most rebounds for Hillsdale at 6.2 per game.
