CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University men's basketball team enters a new era in 2026-27 behind first-year head coach
Tae Gibbs. The Pioneers will look to build upon a 14-14 season last year and have released the first schedule under Coach Gibbs.

Malone opens their 2026-27 slate with a pair of games at Ashland University. The Pioneers will play regional opponents Wayne State University and Maryville University on November 13 and 14. Malone's first home game will be against Bryant & Stratton College on November 17. Other non-conference games include a road contest at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania on November 21 and a home game versus Kent State University at Tuscarawas on November 25.

Coming out of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Pioneers open the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) portion of the schedule beginning with a road game at the University of Findlay on December 3. They also go to Lake Erie College on December 5, and host Tiffin University on December 10. Prior to the Christmas break, Malone visits Salem University (December 12) and hosts Ohio Christian University (December 20) in non-conference action.

Rematches with Findlay (December 31) and Tiffin (January 2) await the Pioneers to begin the new year. Next, there are three straight home games against Hillsdale College (January 7), Northwood University (January 9) and Ashland University (January 14) followed by three consecutive road contests at rival Walsh University (January 16), at Kentucky Wesleyan College (January 21) and at Thomas More University (January 23).

The back-and-forth continues for four more games inside Osborne Hall, culminating with the team's senior day. Malone will compete against Lake Erie on January 28, Cedarville University on January 30, the final non-conference game of the year versus Salem on February 3 and senior day against Kentucky Wesleyan on February 6.

Four of the final six regular season affairs will be road contests foe the Pioneers. A visit to the Mitten State will come on February 11 (Northwood) and February 13 (Hillsdale). Ohio Dominican University comes to Canton on February 18 for the lone meeting between the two teams in 2026-27. The final game in Osborne Hall will see the 63rd Annual Mayors' Cup contested between Malone and Walsh. In-state road trips to Ashland (February 25) and Cedarville (February 27) wrap up the regular season.
