KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) have announced the recipients of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. The Malone University men's basketball team nabbed their third consecutive Team Academic Excellence Award in the 2025-26 season under the direction of then-head coach Charlie Wallrapp.
 
In order to receive the Team Academic Excellence Award, a program must achieve a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the previous academic year. The Pioneers will look to built upon a 14-14 season from 2025-26 with Tae Gibbs appointed as the head coach moving forward for 2026-27.
