The Malone University women's basketball team travels to Pennsylvania for the second time this season on Wednesday, November 27th to take on Clarion University in a road game at 1:00 pm. The non-conference matchup will be Malone's last before beginning Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play next Thursday at Ursuline.

Malone Notes
- The Pioneers, who are 1-1 in true road games, are coming off an 80-67 home victory over Carlow on Saturday.
- Malone knocked down 15 three-pointers, the most in two seasons, and shared the basketball to the tune of 27 assists on 30 made field goals. The 27 assists were the most in eight seasons.
- Redshirt junior Holly Groff, netted six threes and scored a career-high 26 points on 10-of-11 shooting. Through six games this season, she ranks second on the team in scoring (13.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.3 rpg).
- Sophomore Robin Campbell, like Groff scored 39 points in two games last week, including a team-high 23 in a loss to Notre Dame. She leads the team in scoring (14.3 ppg) and assists (19).
- Senior forward Sydney Wentling is averaging 10.3 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game. She has scored 11 or more points in each of the last three contests.
- Senior Ellen Doyle (9.5 ppg) and freshman Alexis Hutchison (7.2 ppg) round out the starting five. Doyle had a career-high seven assists last game while Hutchison has recorded at least one steal in four straight outings.
- Freshman Jade Abdulla is playing a team-high 19.3 minutes per game off the bench and ranks second on the team with 15 assists.
- Malone enters the week ranked 11th in the country in free-throw percentage, 17th in made threes (55), and 19th in three-point percentage.
- The Pioneers are shooting 47.9% from three-point range in their three wins, compared to just 29.9% in their losses.
- Malone is also allowing just 60 points in wins and 78.3 in losses; the three teams the Pioneers have lost to are a combined 14-1.
- First-year Pioneer graduate assistant Jordan Bekelja was a four-year starter and 1,000-point scorer at Clarion.

- The Golden Eagles are 1-2 at home this season, including a 90-65 win over former G-MAC member Davis & Elkins last Wednesday.
- Unlike Malone, Clarion has struggled from the charity stripe, ranking 306th out of 307 DII teams in free-throw percentage. The Golden Eagles are also 300th in three-point percentage.
- Five different players are averaging at least 8.8 points per game, including freshman leading scoring Celeste Ryman (11.2 ppg).
- Ryman and Malone freshman Nikki Weber played high school basketball together at Loudonville where they were both named All-Ohio as seniors.
