Malone University senior wide receiver
Ashton Dulin has accepted an invitation to take part in the NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on January 19th, 2019.
Â
Now in its ninth year, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is a premier postseason All-Star game for draft-eligible college football players. Outside of the All-Star game, invitees will be provided a week-long experience and a chance to showcase their talents to NFL scouts and coaches while learning from the best in the business. Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers, and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are expected be in attendance to watch live practices, conduct player interviews, and review tape.
Â
This year's teams will be coached by former NFL head coaches Mike Tice and Chuck Pagano. Past coaches have included Mike Martz, Dick Vermeil, Tom Flores, Herman Edwards, Dennis Green, Mike Holmgren, Jim Zorn, and Darrell Green.
Â
Last season, 112 players, mostly from Division I schools, participated in the prestigious event. Of those, 42 were invited to the 2018 NFL Combine and 19 were selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Â
Dulin, a Reynoldsburg, Ohio native (Reynoldsburg High School), has garnered attention from nearly every NFL team this fall, and he has not disappointed. The 6'2", 210-pound wide receiver has been a force for the Pioneers, catching 55 passes for 822 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has carried the ball 12 times for 111 yards and another touchdown and returned 25 kickoffs for 743 yards (29.7 avg) and an NCAA DII-leading three return touchdowns.
Â
In total, Dulin has 1,683 all-purpose yards and 14 combined touchdowns. Among all receivers in NCAA football (FBS, FCS, DII, or DIII), the All-America candidate leads the nation in all-purpose yards per game (187.0).
