Day One Results

The Malone University men's golf team carded a round of 297 on Saturday during the opening round of Tiffin University's Kyle Ryman Memorial.

The Pioneers, Saginaw Valley State University and Northern Michigan University are all tied for eighth among the 21-team field at Mohawk Golf and Country Club. 

Bellarmine University and host Tiffin are tied for the lead with scores of 290 and Wayne State University is one shot back in third with a 291.

Senior Jacob English tallied a three-under-par 69 and is third overall among over 100 competitors.   English's round included a total of five birdies and he was two-under on his bogey-free back nine.

Scotty Brown was next for the Pioneers with a 75.  Robert Maloney II posted a 76, Jarrod Kasunick notched a 77 and Kyle Barnett tallied a 79.

The Kyle Ryman Memorial will conclude with the final round on Sunday.
