CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University men's golf team and Head Coach Ken Hyland have announced the signing of Andrew Fredenburg to the program for 2026-27.
 
Fredenburg is graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Warren, Ohio. He was named First Team All-Ohio in 2025 and placed third in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division III Tournament. He qualified with the help of an Individual Medalist performance in the Sectional round. His high school scoring average was a 74.0. As a team, the Eagles were three-time OHSAA Division III State Champions and won four sectional titles.
 
The incoming freshman has had great success with wins at Tannenhauf Golf Club and Windmill Lakes in Northeast Ohio PGA Jr. Series events. He was also fifth in the Youngstown Jr. Open and tied for 14th in the very competitive Cleveland Jr. Open.
 
While attending Malone, Fredenburg will study finance.
