WASHINGTON, Pa. - At the Vulcan Fire Classic, the Malone University men's golf team tied for second overall with two team members inside the top-five in scoring. Malone shot a 601 (304-297) and a strong second round by Gannon University allowed the Knights to tally a 598 (309-289) and nab the win.

Jaxon Rinkes was tied for fifth overall at 147 (72-75). He went 1-under on the back nine to put himself back in the running for the individual medalist honors.
Camden Horning had a strong tournament as well and tied for seventh at 148 (75-73). He had four birdies on his round two scorecard and went even-par on the front.

Ryan Yoder took three strokes off his round one score and tied for 14th at 151 (77-74). He birdied two par-5 holes.
Carter Miller recorded two birdies en route to a 157 (82-75) and
Caden Boyd fired a 161 (80-81).

Up next, the Pioneers will take part in the Wooster Spring Invitational on April 6.
