Results
The Malone University track and field teams competed at Otterbein University's Twilight Meet on Friday evening.
Although the Pioneers only had a portion of their teams in attendance, the Malone women placed second among 13 squads while the men were fifth among 15 teams.

Women's Highlights
The Pioneers claimed four of the top six spots in the 400 meters.Â
Rebekah Carr won the event in 58.93 seconds.Â
Katie Grimes was second at 59.32,
Amber Murphy was fourth in 1:00.32 and
Elisha Cooper placed sixth in 1:01.25.
Michelia Tanner won the discus competition with a toss of 41.80 meters.
In the finals of the 110-meter hurdles,
Kelsey Veldhuizen placed second in 15.54 seconds,
Mary Briceland was fifth in 16.29 and
Madelynn McDermott placed seventh in 16.70.
Jaylyn Vance was second in the finals of the 100-meter dash with a mark of 12.80 seconds.
In the high jump,
Olga Branney took third with a leap of 5" 2.25" and Briceland was fourth at 4' 10".
In the 200 meters, Cooper took fourth in 26.31, Carr was sixth in 26.44,
Maggie Poorman was seventh at 26.461 and Grimes was a millisecond behind in eighth at 26.466.
Emily Luli notched a fourth-place finish in the long jump at 5.14 meters while
Paiten Strother was seventh at 4.93 meters.
In the 400-meter hurdles, McDermott was fourth in 1:10.20 while
Ashley Krieger placed eighth in 1:13.00.
Rachel Wentworth was fifth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:50.50.
Taryn Chapman secured a fifth-place showing in the javelin with a toss of 30.70 meters.

Men's Highlights
Duke Taylor won the hammer throw competition with a heave of 54.75 meters and also took first in the discus with a mark of 53.75 meters.
Ja'Vonne Brashears took second in the long jump at 6.65 meters while
Andrew Schmidt was sixth in the event with a mark of 5.83 meters.
In the shot put,
Camden Baucke took third at 14.27 meters.
Lorne Strausbaugh placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a mark of 10:14.77.
Austin Cary grabbed a fifth-place finish in the hammer with a throw of 43.26 meters.
The Pioneers' 4 x 100-meter relay team of Brashears,
Desmond Sallee,
Orlando Scott and
Daniel Brown placed fifth in 43.85 seconds.
Joshua Woika was fifth in the high jump with a leap of 1.81 meters.
The 4 x 400-meter relay team of
Tyler Harroun,
Daniel Carmany,
Noah Whittington and
William Nowak was sixth in 3:43.11.
Chad Sanner placed sixth in the discus at 40.70 meters.
Joshua Easley placed seventh in the finals of the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.58 seconds.

Ashton Dulin and
Erika Rector will represent the Pioneers at the Jesse Owens Classic (hosted by Ohio State University) on Saturay. The Pioneers will then compete at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships next weekend.
