GREENVILLE, S.C. - The NCCAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week award was presented to
Phil Stupka of the Malone University track & field team for his outing at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University.
The senior sprinter from Butler, Ohio set a new personal best time of 21.22 seconds in the 200-meter run to score a third-place finish at the event. It is now the second-best mark in program history in the outdoor 200-meter run. Stupka was also third in the 100-meter dash at 10.57 seconds and led the 4x400-meter relay team to a 13th-place finish (3:23.64). NCCAA rankings see Stupka fourth in the 100, first in the 200 and the 4x400-meter relay team is second overall.
The Pioneers will be in split squad action on Saturday, April 11 with the team attending the John Homon Open at the University of Mount Union and the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University.
