Senior Duke Taylor and freshman Michael Jankowski represented the Malone University track and field team at this weekend's University of Akron Invitational.

Taylor finished seventh in the Gold Division weight throw with a toss of 61' 4".  The performance was less than a foot shy of his school record heave of 62' 1" at last week's Spire Midwest Open.

On Friday, Taylor also competed in the indoor discus competition, a unique event for indoor track.  Taylor finished ninth in the Gold Division with a toss of 164'.

Jankowski took 13th in the Blue Division of the 3000 meter run with a mark of 8:50.51.

Malone is scheduled to return to action on February 10-11 as the squads compete at the Tiffin University Dragon Open and the Grand Valley State University Big Meet.
