Baseball Preview Notes: Pioneers Set for Three Games Against Findlay

A doubleheader originally scheduled for Saturday will now be played on Friday starting at 3:00 pm.

The Malone University baseball team will face the University of Findlay on Friday, March 18th in a doubleheader starting at 3:00 pm before meeting Findlay again on Saturday, March 19th for a single nine-inning tilt starting at 10:00 am. All three games will be played in Beckley, West Virginia at Linda K. Epling Stadium. The Pioneers were originally scheduled to play a single game on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday, but due to weather concerns, the order of games was re-arranged.

The offense is led by Austin Adams (.357 BA), Justin Schwerer (.325), and Derrick Herd (.321)…Schwerer leads the team with seven stolen bases while Peter Yorgen has a team-high eight RBI.
