All-Time Series:
Malone is 35-40 all-time against Walsh. The Cavaliers have come away victorious in each of the last two meetings, including a 60-49 win over the Pioneers earlier this month and 86-65 victory in the 2015 Mayors' Cup

Malone Notes:
  • The Pioneers went 2-0 last week with a 72-69 home win over Wayne State before upsetting Findlay 74-70 on their home court...last week marked the first time all season that Malone has won back-to-back games and the first time since December of last season
  • Tara Schaffter scored a career-high 22 points to lead five Pioneers who scored nine or more points in the victory over Wayne State...two days later, Rachel Goddard scored a season-high 24 points in the upset of the Oilers
  • Schaffter, a 6'0" forward from Smithville, Ohio, will play in her final collegiate game Thursday night...in her four-year career, she has tallied 659 points and is ranked 42nd on Malone's all-time scoring list...in a breakout senior season, she has averaged 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds a night and has knocked down a career-high 23 three-pointers
  • Thursday night will also be the last game for Bri Libertore, of Louisville, Ohio, who's played three seasons with Malone after transferring from Walsh...in her career she has tallied 446 points and her 374 rebounds puts her in 28th on Malone's all-time rebounding list...this season she checks in with 7.5 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game...the 6'0" forward has recorded three of her five career double-doubles in Malone's last four games including an impressive 15 point, 14 rebound effort in a win over Tiffin
  • Audrey Myers will be the third senior recognized after Thursday's game...the redshirt junior from Hartville, Ohio, who missed all of the 2013-14 season due to injury, will forego her final year of eligibility after suffering season-ending injuries in each of the last two seasons...in parts of three seasons, playing in 51 games, Audrey scored 273 points and recorded 47 steals and 33 blocked shots...in her final collegiate game against Northwood (MI) last December, she recorded 4 steals and a blocked shot in the first quarter
  • Junior Rachel Goddard has climbed to 38th on the Pioneers' all-time scoring list with 693 points in just two seasons after playing her freshman season at Miami (OH) University...this season, she leads Malone with 13.9 points per game and is 1st in the conference with 113 assists...Goddard, the GLIAC leader in minutes played per game (35.8), has come on strong as of late, averaging 17.2 points and 5.4 assists over the last five contests...the 5'7 guard has gone to the charity stripe more than any other guard in the conference where she has connected on 98-of-126 (77.8%) of her free-throw attempts
  • Freshman Chrissie Vaughan ranks 3rd among GLIAC freshmen with 10.5 points per game and 1st in minutes per game (33.1)...the 5'10" guard is 4th in the conference with 59 made three-pointers and leads the Pioneers with 33 steals
  • Guard Alaina Schwarz has knocked down at least one three in 13 straight games...of her 31 made field goals this season, 29 have been from beyond the arc...the junior sharpshooter ranks 4th in the GLIAC with a 42.0% success rate from three-point range
  • Sophomore Alahna Singleton provided a spark off the bench Saturday, tallying 10 points and hitting two clutch treys...on the year, Singleton has 17 made threes and is shooting 50.0% from long distance
  • As a team, the Pioneers have connected on a school-record 210 three pointers in 26 games this season, shattering the previous mark of 193 set in 31 games in the 2013-14 season...on the year, Malone ranks 2nd in the GLIAC in made threes per game (8.2) and number one in threes attempted per game (24.8)
  • The Pioneers, who for the majority of the season led the nation in fewest personal fouls, were recently supplanted by the University of Tampa but still rank second with 13.4 fouls per game
  • Malone is 7-6 at home this season but haven't beaten Walsh at home in the Mayors' Cup game since 2007

Walsh Notes:
  • Walsh has already punched its ticket to the GLIAC Tournament but is fighting for playoff seeding and a quarterfinal home game...the win over Malone on February 1st started a six-game winning streak that ended on Saturday in a 79-75 loss to Wayne State

  • Junior guard Brooklyn Wooten (9.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg) is 9th in the GLIAC with 88 assists
  • Junior guard Jalynn Graham (6.4 ppg) ranks 9th in the GLIAC with 51 steals
  • As a team, Walsh is 2nd in the GLIAC with 10.8 steals per game and 3rd with 3.7 blocks per contest...they limit teams to a conference-best 29.2% from beyond the arc
  • Offensively, the Cavaliers rank 3rd just behind Malone in made threes per game (7.7) and three-pointers attempted (22.9)
  • Walsh remains the only team to defeat nationally-ranked Ashland University after upsetting the Eagles 69-58 on February 4th
