Series: The Pioneers have registered a 6-7 record in 13 all-time meetings with the Dragons. Tiffin prevailed 34-30 in last year's match-up at Frost-Kalnow Stadium. Malone had topped the Dragons in double-overtime in each of the previous two years, winning 40-34 in 2011 and 33-27 in 2012. MU is 2-4 all-time in games played at Tiffin.

Eric Hehman is in his fifth season as the Pioneers' head coach and has tallied a 10-35 record at Malone. Prior to arriving in Canton, Hehman spent the previous five years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville (IL) College where he led the Panthers to a 28-22 record and a berth in the 2009 NCCAA Victory Bowl.

Gary Goff is in his fourth year as the head coach of the Dragons and has posted a 5-28 record at Tiffin. Prior to becoming TU's head coach, Goff had most recently served as the offensive coordinator at West Virginia Wesleyan University, helping the Bobcats improve from a 2-8 season in 2009 to a 9-2 mark in 2010. Goff's coaching resume also includes previous assistant positions at Princeton University and New Mexico State University.

Malone Notes: The Pioneers fell at home to Wayne State (MI) University this past Saturday by a final score of 39-15…Malone pulled in front 15-3 at the start of the second quarter before WSU fought back, cutting the deficit to 15-10 at halftime and then outscoring the Pioneers 29-0 in the second half...The Pioneers forced four turnovers (three interceptions, one fumble recovery) in Saturday's game which marked the highest single-game total for the squad since forcing four in a 59-42 victory at Alderson-Broaddus last season…However, Malone also committed three turnovers of its own Saturday, giving the squad 13 giveaways (nine fumbles, four interceptions) through its first three games.

Ronnie Beers accounted for 175 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's contest, scoring on an eight-yard run and a four-yard pass…In all, Beers posted 49 rushing yards on six carries, pulled in four receptions for 46 yards and totaled 80 yards on four kickoff returns …Through the Pioneers' first three games, Beers is Malone's leading receiver with seven catches for 105 yards… RB
Justin Davis has tallied a team-high 120 rushing yards on 33 carries this season…QB

Daniel Tepe snagged a pair of interceptions in Saturday's game, marking the first time since 2012 (against Tiffin) that a Pioneer had picked off two passes in a single game.
Tiffin Notes: The Dragons have had both highs and lows in the early stages of their 2014 campaign…Tiffin suffered a 45-10 loss in their season opener at Walsh University, bounced back with a 28-17 triumph at Saginaw Valley State (MI) University in week two but then dropped their home opener to the University of Findlay last week, 59-22…The victory at SVSU marked the Dragons' first road win since 2007 and first-ever GLIAC road victory…Although the Tiffin defense has struggled to stop the run this year, the Dragons rank second among the GLIAC's 15 teams against the pass, giving up just 161.7 yards through the air per contest.
Tiffin players to watch: QB Antonio Pipkin is a dual threat for the Dragons, causing trouble for opposing defenses both passing and rushing…Pipkin has completed 69 of 105 passes in Tiffin's "Air Raid" offense for 626 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions….Pipkin is also the Dragons' leading rusher, having gained 156 yards on 38 attempts with two rushing TD's…WR Marcus Beaurem has been Pipkin's top target with 13 catches for 142 yards and one score…Four other Dragon receivers have caught at least nine passes through Tiffin's first three games….LB Terry Harper paces the Dragon defense with 23 total tackles…CB Carlton Watkins, who has made 21 stops on the year, picked off a pass and returned it 53 yards for a touchdown in the season opener against Walsh.
