The Malone University men's tennis team competed in its final home match of the 2013-14 season on Sunday as the Pioneers lost an 8-1 decision to GLIAC opponent University of Findlay.

With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 3-13 overall and to 1-8 in the GLIAC while the Oilers, with the win, improved to 9-6 overall and to 5-4 in GLIAC play.

For Malone, Puneet Sharma collected the lone win on the day for Malone as he won a three setter at #3 singles.  Sharma won the first set 6-2 but lost the second set by the same 6-2 score.  But he took the third and deciding set 1-0, after posting a 10-7 point win in that super tiebreaker.

Vladyslav Dyenyezhka, at #5 singles, won seven games but lost 6-4, 6-3.

Malone will compete in its final two matches next weekend as the squad travels to Northwood University (MI) on Saturday (April 12) and to Wayne State University (MI) on Sunday (April 13).
