Men's Tennis Falls 9-0 At Wayne State In Season Finale

The Malone men's tennis team lost its final match of the 2013-14 campaign by the score of 9-0 at GLIAC opponent Wayne State University (MI).


Match Results

The Malone University men's tennis team, competing in its final 2013-14 match, lost a 9-0 contest at Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Wayne State University (MI) on Sunday.

With the loss, the Pioneers finished with an overall record of 3-15 and a 1-10 mark in the GLIAC while the Warriors, with the win, improved to 9-7 overall and to 8-2 in GLIAC play.

For Malone, the #2 doubles team of Youssef ElSonbaty and Brett Krejci came the closest to picking up a match win but lost in a tough 8-6 decision.

In singles, ElSonbaty won five games at the #1 singles spot but lost by the score of 6-3, 6-2. Scott Glasgow, at #4 singles, won four games but fell 6-3, 6-1.
